Christmas Cookie Swap... and more!

I tried a little something new at work this holday season! I organized a Cookie Swap! I had always read about them and thought it was such a cute idea. I made the treats above...of course I got the idea thanks to Pinterest:) They were delicious!

I bought a little treat at the Dollar Store to give to a lucky participant:) It was just a little "Christmasy" oven mitt and a thing of cookie cutters.

One table had my treats (I don't know if they have an official name), Sand tarts, Crock pot candy, Gingerbread men, and decorated sugar cookies...

The other table had Holiday bark, Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, Chocolate cookies, "Worlds best cookies" and White chocolate cranberry cookies...
It was so fun and different for us to try out:)

This is a sign that I painted for a friend of mine:) She will have it for many Christmases to come in the Wryosdick household!

Oh and I got an early Christmas delivery! Ha-ha J/K but Easton sure did have a blast in an empty box...I would've saved alot of money if I would've known that a box would entertain him:) God bless his country self in some undies and camo boots:)

This is my fleur de lis pumpkin I drew and carved on one of our pumpkins:)
Above is Easton at the Bass Pro Shops in Denham Springs, Louisiana. The "swamp" motif was the coolest thing ever!

Above are a batch of chocolate peanut butter dipped bugles from Pinterest...yummy! Also is a big ole pot of chicken n dumplings...also yummy!

Fall is near

I know I haven't posted in a while, but things have been kind of crazy around here...story of my life...

Here's my little pumpkin helping me get out some halloween decor early:) Here's a picture of one of the decorated tables. I've got to get more, but hey, it's a start:)

Here's a glimpse of my boys before Alabama's first game of the season! ROLL TIDE!!

I got this pretty print at Lowe's. I'm so bad at neglecting my walls and decorating. I love to decorate, my budget just doesn't love it;) This is hanging on a blank wall leading into my red kitchen.
I have several more pictures, but they wont upload right...go figure! It could be the computer operator though...not the computer:)

Breakfast Burritos via Pinterest

I am so horrible about not eating breakfast in the mornings. So by the time lunch rolls around I'm starving and I tend to make horrible choices on what to eat. So I have seen these breakfast burritos on Pinterest alot and thought even though they aren't the "healthiest" option it still an option to choose from a few times a month.

First I scrambled my eggs, 10 to be exact... (I would def. recommed at least 12) and add milk, salt and pepper.

Next, I brown the sausage meat, then drain

In the same skillet (minus the sausage) I add in a tad bit of butter and brown my hash browns.
Once your hashbrowns get a golden brown color add in your sausage, and your egg mixture. Cook on low heat until eggs are done.
I made two seperate batches one with hashbrowns and one without hash browns.
next take your tortilla, add a scoop of breakfast mixture, and add cheese on top of that.
Then roll it up in a burrito style fashion, wrap in plastic wrap, and then place in a freezer bag, and in the freezer it goes until breakfast time:)

It was very yummy!!

Breakfast Burritos
1lb. pork sausage
1 pkg. hash browns
8-12 large eggs
¼ cup milk
1 pkg. shredded cheese
Salt & pepper, to taste
1-2 pkg. flour tortillas

Brown sausage, then drain. In the same pan place in hash browns. While the Hash browns are cooking whisk together eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Once the hash browns start to turn golden brown add cooked sausage in with it. Also add in egg mixture and cook on low heat until eggs are done. Place cooked mixture in center of tortilla, add cheese on top and roll into a burrito. 10 eggs usually will make about 20 burritos (according to the girl who made this originally). Wrap each burrito in plastic wrap and then place several in a freezer bag and place in the freezer. To heat- unwrap the burrito from all of the plastic and wrap in a paper towel. Heat for 45 seconds, then turn and then cook for 30 seconds. The girl said that this was the perfect combination of time until the burrito is heated completely through.

Playing Catch Up!

Here are randoms pics from the I Phone...

Easton helping daddy get the grill ready for dinner...Whoa! Stand Back!
Easton trying out our new planter we bought at Lowe's. It is a Jack Daniels whisky barrell cut in half...and it really did still smell like whiskey! Pretty neat! We planted some strawberries in there:)
Easton's favorite new pasttime.... good lawd!
Poor daddy was sun burnt and E just had to decorate his back with Easter eggs! It was painful, can't you tell?
My Little man!
My mother in law gave us a couple of peices of furniture that she couldn't use anymore, and I LOVE the way that the table and chairs turned out in the kitchen. We had so much extra space and I have been wanting a new island...ahem, Charlie that's still on my wish list... but I thought this was such a nice change until then:)
The couch, love seat, and rug was also from my mother in law and it turned out pretty too!
Ridin' the four wheeler
(it's not a real it's battery powered)
Mason's playing ball this summer, so here's an action shot of him running!
We are trying the potty training, it's kind of hit or miss, but isn't he cute?!
He said "NO momma NO!" when I started taking pictures...
here's another shot of him on the four wheeler... he's such a stinker!

I am going to honestly try harder to blog more often so I can keep a "scrap book" of our lives, since i don't have any free time to do a real one:)

Sick Baby!

Well Easton has had a bad cough and runny nose for a few days and hardly any appetite so yesterday we took a trip to our local urgent care office. After waiting a while in the waiting room, surrounded by hillbillies no less, the verdict was what i suspected. He has strep throat! Poor baby!

His favorite thing to do at the doctors office, besides standing on the scale and trying to run out of the door every time it opens, is to sit in the window seals! Easy to entertain... Also i took a pic this morning of his bed head haha!

On a side note when he isnt sick he is really into hugging people and saying "mmmm mmmm!" When he dies it! Such a sweetheart!

It melts my heart to see Easton look up to his daddy so much! He really eats up the time they have together. <3
